Welcome to The Dignified Home! The Dignified Home was born out of my passion for design
and all things home. I have lived in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and now
Michigan. Each of these environments is unique and has inspired me and my
designs. My passion for design has grown through 20 years of my own remodels
and new builds.

In 2017, my husband and I purchased land on a dirt road in a small town in Michigan. Over the
next few years, we spent summers on our untamed land planning our dream home.
We started from scratch: mailing address, driveway, and electricity to ultimately
clearing the build site, finalizing floor plans and exterior elevations.

In 2020, we left Texas, family, and friends for our Northern adventure. Building a
home in the middle of the pandemic forced us to navigate through supply chain delays,
labor and material shortages, and anything mother nature could throw at us. The
house quickly became my full-time job. Meanwhile, I found myself spending more
and more time supporting friends and family with design advice including sourcing
furniture and home décor. This was done both virtually and in-person and by the
time our home was finished, it became clear to me this is what I love and I
want to share my passion with everyone.
